A Dental Hygienist salary is really competitive and the main reason I want to become a Dental Hygienist. There is a fair amount of schooling involved but the eventual payout was well worth the extensive college courses. When I was in high school I asked one of my father’s friends, who was a dentist, to let me shadow him and for a month I spent over six hours a week watching the inner working of a family dentist office. Those 24 hours not only gave me an inside look at the oral medical care industry but personal one on one time with a professional. My dads friend answered all my questions and let sit in on a few appointments. When I told him I wanted to go to school to become a Dental Hygienist he encouraged me to do so and even supplied me with a glowing recommendation that helped me get into the graduate school of my choice.
